The flagship project National and International Expansion and Consolidation of INCT Klimapolis aims to maximize the Institute’s scientific and social impact in Brazil and worldwide.
To achieve this, the project focuses on the preparation and regular updating of materials that clearly present the full structure of INCT Klimapolis, its underlying projects, activities, institutions, groups, and members; the identification of knowledge gaps to attract new researchers; and the mapping of opportunities for new projects and collaborations that contribute to the Institute’s completeness. This includes international initiatives that build bridges with national and global groups relevant to INCT’s themes, with the goal of creating a network of researchers specialized in diverse disciplines related to sustainability and climate change.
In addition, international cooperation with German partners will continue through the binational virtual Klimapolis Laboratory. Within this space, we will maintain our strategic meetings and discussions with partners from German institutions, including the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and the University of Hamburg, on topics and opportunities for scientific cooperation related to INCT Klimapolis, as well as the joint participation in and organization of events.
The foundation of this project is the development of initiatives that take into account the climatic and socioeconomic particularities of different regions of Brazil, while also seeking partnerships with companies interested in sustainability projects, offering mutual benefits through collaboration with renowned research institutions and universities, both nationally and internationally.
