Flagship Projects

At INCT Klimapolis, flagship projects are core initiatives that serve as the backbone of our research and development activities. These projects establish the foundations necessary to carry out complex studies and to promote the integration of different fields of knowledge, always with the goal of creating innovative and sustainable solutions to urban and environmental challenges.

Through these flagship projects, it is possible to organize, coordinate, and sustain a wide range of research activities within INCT Klimapolis. They are called “flagship” because they provide the structure and resources needed for the development of smaller projects, linking multiple research lines and ensuring that all efforts are aligned with the Institute’s strategic objectives.

These projects typically involve the development of methodologies, the creation of infrastructure, large-scale data collection and analysis, and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration. They may also include the development of technological tools and models that will be used by other projects within INCT Klimapolis.

By establishing a shared foundation, flagship projects ensure that research efforts are efficient and consistent. This includes the standardization of methodologies, the centralization of data, and the coordination of activities across different teams, creating a legacy of knowledge and technology that benefits not only INCT Klimapolis but also other institutions and society at large.
