INCT Klimapolis recognizes that climate change has a disproportionate impact on vulnerable communities. For this reason, it prioritizes the development of research that can offer innovative and equitable solutions to mitigate and adapt to this severe crisis, especially in urban contexts.
Our researchers actively seek partnerships with community-based organizations to develop projects that directly address the communities most affected by climate change, ensuring that their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Climate justice is a central pillar of INCT Klimapolis’ activities. We believe in equal access through inclusive research, ensuring that local experiences and knowledge inform the solutions developed, so that the measures adopted by governments benefit all populations equitably.
We are also committed to transparency in all our initiatives and to accountability for the goals we set, ensuring that results are measured and shared with the community.
We advocate for greater investment in research and the development of innovative technologies, using monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress of initiatives and ensure that climate and environmental justice objectives are achieved.
